How does it work?
OpenTrade’s High Yield Corporate Bond Vault generates yield based on the performance of the SHYG ETF which is a BlackRock-managed fund tracking short-term high yield bonds with maturities under five years.
Returns (and losses) are pegged to the performance of the underlying vault collateral via a collateral rate, which is updated daily based on the previous day’s ETF closing price, and reflected automatically on-chain as an exchange rate between USDC and your vault tokens (XHYC).
The vault also displays an indicative interest rate, which is the average yield to maturity for the ETF's underlying bond holdings. The indicative interest rate is used to provide lenders an idea of the types of returns the vault could experience if all its collateral was held to maturity.
